El 9 de mayo tendrá lugar en Madrid la conferencia "Rusia, exilio y lucha por la democracia" que reunirá a destacados representantes de la sociedad civil rusa exiliada por motivos políticos así como a expertos y expertas de otros países europeos.

El 9 de mayo a las 09:30h tendrá lugar en el Espacio Bertelsmann la conferencia "Rusia, exilio y lucha por la democracia", organizada por FES Madrid y CIDOB. El evento reunirá a destacados representantes de la sociedad civil rusa en el exilio, así como a expertos y expertas de diversos países europeos.
La disidencia dentro de Rusia está sometida a una represión brutal y sistémica. Tres años después de la invasión de Ucrania, no se ha producido ninguna ruptura interna del régimen de Putin. Mientras tanto, la sociedad civil rusa independiente se ha exiliado en su mayoría, a menudo en el resto de Europa.
¿Cuál es la situación de la oposición rusa en el exilio? ¿Cómo está organizada y quiénes son sus principales actores? ¿Cómo pueden las fuerzas exiliadas seguir siendo relevantes y fomentar el cambio en su país? ¿Qué condiciones se requieren para que una oposición en el exilio sobreviva como actor político significativo? ¿Qué nos dicen otros precedentes históricos? ¿Cuál es la estrategia de la Unión Europea para tratar y apoyar a las diásporas políticas rusas?
Para contestar a estas y otras preguntas, este encuentro reunirá a destacados representantes de la sociedad civil rusa exiliada por motivos políticos (intelectuales, activistas, artistas) así como a expertos y expertas de otros países europeos. El evento se desarrollará en inglés con traducción simultánea.
